botticelli reimagined

i really loved the botticelli reimagined exhibition at the V & A –  a diverse selection of works has been put together –  all influenced by the works of Sandro Botticelli, whose art from the 15th Century is recognised as one of the greatest artists of all time.  everyone is familiar with the idealist female figure   that he painted and through film, fashion, art and design,  the iconic figure is reconstructed and deconstructed.  marvel at the Dante Gabriel Rossetti paintings and their incredible detail.

the female body in motherhood is to me one of the most perfect forms of beauty – its a wondrous journey to creating life and one to be admired.  its one of my favourite things photographing the female form.
