the national

i have a new theatre partner – my son;  he loves the classic books and films in general, so is up for seeing most things..  so we went to see ‘As you like it’ at the national – it was set in modern times, but the text faithfully shakespeare.  fortunately we both read the synopsis, as with some shakespeare, the characters can get very confusing.  i loved the change of set from office to forest, very clever and yet simple and striking.  most of the seats at the national have great viewing, so you dont need to buy the most expensive seats.  the do offer £15 tickets, but you need to buy these in advance.
