strange weather in tokyo

i have just finished reading this sweet little book  –‘strange weather in tokyo’ – a very gentle tale set in tokyo about a student re- meeting with a teacher in a food bar;  essentially its about 2 lonely people who find solace in each other’s company and how their affection and bond grows. it reminds me of our wonderful trip to tokyo a year ago…..

i am now reading Rosalind Powell’s retelling of how she adopted her son;  ‘how i meet my son’ – its even more close to my heart, because i remember the day when she told me that she was just about to do this and her son became part of our trips to spain, as we both happened to have homes in the same spanish town.  i have only read the first few chapters, but Ros’s writing is both heartful, honest and interesting – i look forward to finishing it.
