david parr house

there are still lots of things on my list to do – one of them is to visit this wonderfully historic house in cambridge.  david parr was a working class victorian painter who worked for a decorative arts company, alongside architects such as George Bodley and William Morris.  over a period of 40 years, david intricately painted and decorated his own humble house by hand and much of his work still survives today.  it looks amazing and is a living example of the arts and crafts movement.
i absolutely loved the stencil ideas from casa polopa hotel.  searching for that famous blue colour paint is not easy, but try hacienda style or bristol ultramarine blue.
