wild is the wind

today is our wedding anniversary – strangely a lot of my friends have got married in January – not usually a popular month for weddings.

21 years – some days it feels like more and sometimes it feels just like a year!!  i looked at the recommended list of what to buy to celebrate a number of years, and 21 is bronze! however i bought robert a collectors edition of the David Bowie book by Mick Rock!  as with everyone, I have mourned the loss of a great icon and hero – i always said if there was one person in my life i would want to meet it would have been him……  maybe in the after life……….

thank you robert for making my life so special.and fulfilling – you are my soulmate, my best friend, my everything.

i have listened to lots of bowie songs, and although he didnt write this one, i just love his version.

Love me, love me, love me, love me
Say you do
Let me fly away
With you
For my love is like
The wind
And wild is the wind
Wild is the wind

Give me more
Than one caress
Satisfy this
Hungriness
Let the wind
Blow through your heart
For wild is the wind
Wild is the wind

You
Touch me
I hear the sound
Of mandolins
You
Kiss me
With your kiss
My life begins
You’re spring to me
All things
To me

Don’t you know you’re
Life itself

Like a leaf clings
To the tree
Oh my darling,
Cling to me
For we’re like creatures
Of the wind
Wild is the wind
Wild is the wind

You
Touch me
I hear the sound
Of mandolins
You
Kiss me
With your kiss
My life begins
You’re spring to me
All things
To me

Don’t you know you’re
Life itself

Like a leaf clings
To the tree
Oh my darling,
Cling to me
For we’re like creatures
In the wind
And wild is the wind
Wild is the wind

Wild is the wind
Wild is the wind
Wild is the wind

  1. A beautiful song, I agree Christina, I cried all the way home listening to this last Monday when I heard the news of David’s passing. I also bought the Mick Rock book for Chris, my husband 11 years ago when he turned 40 and he treasures it to this day. Happy anniversary to you both X
