vintage shopping in brighton

maude and i did a day trip to brighton to see our friends claudia and florence – it was a windy day, not unexpected by the sea at this time of year, but still fun especially discovering new vintage dress shops;  i loved hope and harlequin in sydney street in brighton – lots of unusual dresses , especially for parties and special occasions;   next door is wolf and gypsy – another lovely shop, with a lot more affordable clothes, both for men and women.  i bought this lovely 70’s scottish kilt very cheaply.   starfish vintage clothing has more daywear, and is also a bit more affordable.   so for a change to the usual shops, take a day trip to brighton and stroll through all the little streets.

we had lunch at silo,  a restaurant wholly concerned with the environment and how to nourish our bodies respectfully.  it was a very unusual menu, but tasty.  apparently good for breakfast and tea and cakes.
