open air meditation

i have only ever been to two meditation sessions, but when my friend Anna told me that she was starting a weekly morning session in regents park, i thought that this was just what i needed to do – a brisk 20 min walk through the park, past the rose garden and to the bandstand by the lake for a half hour meditation with a group of like minded souls.  there was a very slight drizzle, but we sat under the perfect canopy of a large willow tree – it was enlightening to sit and hear the sounds of london wakening alongside the sounds of nature – geese, birds, splash of water……  the session is held every weds 8.15am come rain or shine.  Anna  also runs courses in mindfulness.
