liverpool

i think myself lucky to have such kind and considerate friends – elise has booked a night in a lovely hotel in Liverpool – which to my surprise is quite a charming and elegant city.  the hope street hotel is perfectly situated in the georgian quarter and right next door to the famous  victorian  cathedral.  marvel at the old and new architecture that sit side by side – the elegant rows of georgian houses are to die for!  lots of the old commercial buildings are now bars, cafes and meeting places – so that there are lots of places to choose to eat and drink.   a walk down to the port and a visit to the tate museum is also a must – all in all its a fun and lively city to visit – and about an hours drive from manchester – i wonder why its taken me so long to visit Liverpool?
