i finally made it to the fashion and textile museum over on Bermondsey Street – there is a sweet exhibition of knitwear from the early 1900’s to today. I noticed that they also do courses and events there – would make good gifts for those creative types. Bermondsey Street was buzzing with coffee shops, all very busy – if you get a chance eat in Jose Piazarro’s tapas bar, but again this is very popular. I managed to see the Tracy Emin drawings and embroideries at the White Cube, but I think that has finished now – the embroideries are very beautiful. the White Cube always has some interesting exhibition on, so its worth making that trip to Bermondsey street. you can always work out your day so that you do Bermondsey market in the morning – but then you would end up carrying all your wonderful purchases around with you – unless you just eat your way around the market, having breakfast and brunch then going over to the museums.
