collective ceramics

as you know, i love ceramics, so it was lovely to stay with my stylish friend michele in new york who has a passion for collecting 1950’s ceramics – including the beautiful work of fantoni and raynor;  beautiful colours and patterns that soften any modern interior. SO inspirational!  michele took me to her favourite shop, the end of history–   an aladdin’s cave of wonderful vases, bowls and lamps – i have never seen so many pieces in one room.   if you are looking for ceramics here, then try alfie’s antique market, mint, designers guild, liberty and upstairs at fortnum and mason’s.

have a look at the delicate beakers and jugs by James and tilla waters and the hand thrown pots of  anne musso, i love the colour palettes of the tableware by toast home.   mixing contemporary and vintage works well.
