the sportsman seasalter

good to see the great review of the sportsman restaurant in sundays times style today – after visiting lots of other english seaside towns, whitstable definitely has the most reliant of restaurants with many choices, so that you can visit time and time again without getting bored of the same menu.

have arrived in vejer to sort out some winter renovation works on the house – its disappointingly cloudy and drizzly, but it still didnt stop us enjoying a seaview lunch at la chanca on el palmar.  we had stopped eating there, partly because it had got very expensive for fish and the service was leisurely slow, but its still an incredible place to sit, eat good food and watch the surfers in the sea.   i never realised that they also own houses that you can stay at.
