decided to make home made pizzas for all the family, but even with my fab new kitchen aid, its still a long slog, lots of prepping, cleaning and rolling. i used Jamie Oliver’s recipe from his book Jamie’s Italy, and it was simple enough , though time consuming – its the waiting for the dough to rise, the rolling out, waiting another 15 mins before adding the toppings, but it turned out to be a night of fun for the whole family; we roasted whole baby tomatoes to make the paste, which made it tasty as well as nutritious; the kids started to roll out their own base, then added fillings to suit their taste. our favourite was a smear of the roasted tomatoes, chopped red onions, peppers, mozzarella, chorizo and fresh chopped basil.
