mousehole

the weather is sadly showery and grey, with the odd sunny spell – so driving to discover new places seems ideal in cornwall.   we made our way to the picturesque village of mousehole (pronounce mowzel), with its narrow streets and Lamorna granite stone cottages, its very cute, unspoilt with its art galleries and tea shops.  it was very stormy and whilst driving through Penzance, witnessed the waves breaking over the harbour walls, leaving streams of seaweed – the girls thought it the most exciting thing ever driving through the waves.  2 fore street comes highly recommended for lunch, but reservations are required in advance.

not far away are prussia cove and perranuthnoe for lovely beaches.  the dramatic coastline of cornwall is always stunning.
