i watched the fascinating programme last night on london streets – this one was about the caledonian road – if you get a chance to view it on iplayer, you must do, it was very interesting and the characters who live there made it a warm and welcoming community and proud to be living in london.
I watched it too! It was a brilliant programme and I forgot to look who produced it. It had a real feel of Testimony Films about it – who make fantastic programmes on social history. It shocked me how many generations in the Cali Road had been trodden down/moved on by by authorities thinking they knew better how to improve the area. I was inspired by those who stood up for it and fought off the intentions of British Rail at the end!
