its been a grey day, but my lovely friend salia took me to the restaurant polpo in soho for a bite to eat – i had to admit that i hadnt ever been there – but what a great find. its the italian version of a tapas bar, so you can just get a few dishes to share – based on venetian food – its just enough to satisfy you without you feeling completely bloated.
its funny how beak street has become so popular again – its a lovely street with character, you have polpo and fernandez & wells with its great breakfast choices and spanish ham plate, and just close by there is the society club with its tea and cakes. for vegetarian food you have mildreds, and aesop has great gift ideas for cosmetics – my husband loves the shaving cream.
not forgetting in golden square the nordic bakery – with its yummy oatmeal biscuits and cinammon buns – they have just opened their 3rd bakery in marylebone! its a stylish and peaceful place to meet and catch up with friends.
