it was a special day to remember eilleen – we sprinkled her ashes on her husbands grave in mortlake cemetry and planted a few flowers and then we celebrated with a big family lunch in the lovely Petersham Hotel. the view from the restaurant is just spectacular – and the food is delicious too. its definitely a lovely venue for a special family get together. the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. i also loved the drive over hammersmith bridge and through barnes – lovely views by the river.
another of my favourite beauty spots are the gardens of kilver court in shepton mallet, with wells cathedral close by, its a lovely weekend retreat. close by is the mulberry factory shop where you can definitely find a great bargain.
It sounds like you had a wonderful family event and for once, you were actually in my neighbourhood. Just wondering if you got my e-mal about Yoga teachers in Vejer and La Muella. Also, I need to order some of your beautiful flower cards as I have already run out of cards. I am an old fashioned card writer after all!
