we ended our holiday in ultimate luxury, a couple of nights in the recently opened hotel, finca cortesin, which is close to Gibraltar, on the road to Estepona. Its a newly built complex, but done with style. All the rooms are spacious, but homely, not too minimal, but very comfortable. the swimming pools and spa are the main attraction, with the backdrop of the mountains, its hard to believe that you are on the costa del sol. Its expensive, but for a couple of days of sheer peace and quiet, pampering and good food, its highly recommended. You definitely feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Its wonderful to have your own place to holiday in, but in the end, you are still cooking, tidying and cleaning, so for me, it was a perfect end to my holiday. The restaurant Schilo is a dining experience not to be missed - with flavours of Asia and Arabia.
